Vinegar Bottle Old World Santa

I made this thing today. It is made from a vintage Hazel-Atlas bottle. I was told the bottle held apple cider vinegar. I sculpted the head, hat, hands, etc. I also painted it. It is one of the very few non-horror things I have done.

"O Christmas Tree"

I put our Christmas tree up last Sunday. It is Nightmare Before Christmas themed. I usually put it in the library, but we only go in there to get a book or movie. This year I put it in the dining room. We get to see it every time we walk through the house. The only problem is it is free game for the cats. When it was in the library all I had to do was shut the door. So this year I am using Halloween party favors as ornaments. I made a cat-proof tree. We have lots of expensive Nightmare Before Christmas ornaments and even some vintage Beetle Juice ones. If I put them up this year it will be toward the top of the tree. The Jack and Zero lights are plastic and pretty durable so I'm not worried about the cats breaking them. So far they have not paid any attention to the tree at all.

Christmas Parade

Last night SpiderBaby and I attended the small town we live ins Christmas parade. It was mostly emergency vehicles. It looked and sounded like the scene of a horrific accident. There were a few half-ass floats that were OK. Lots of horses and 4-wheelers also. It was after dark which really makes no sense what so ever. The best parade they have had that I have seen was the one that we put one of our hearses in it. Nothing says Happy Holidays like a big black funeral coach with red flames on it:)

1st post of my new blog

This is the very first post of my new blog! I like to collect and hunt/dig for old bottles and jars. I found this typo Coke bottle in an old rotting barn. They spelled "Miami" "Miama". I like bottle hunting because it's kinda like treasure hunting.
I am an artist. More specifically I am a horror artist because I deal mostly in the horror genre. I do paintings, sculpture, and prop-building. My mom does sorta country-style art. Stuff like old world style cypress Santas and the like. I have started helping her with her stuff on the side. There is more money in the more normal art but quite frankly it goes against my nature.:)
I spend pretty much every minute with my wonderful wife Spiderbaby. We do projects, watch movies, and have adventures. She is the most important thing in my life and my inspiration.
